PP Warehouse Assistant - Christchurch

Here's what you'll do…

As a Warehouse Assistant, you will support the day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring products are received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and efficiently.

You'll be working alongside a supportive and experienced team in a busy warehouse environment, including freezer and chiller areas.

The key accountabilities of the role will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Accurately receive incoming products using the Produce Pronto system (PP).


• Load incoming stock into designated warehouse locations and storage slots.


• Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.


• Prepare orders for dispatch and ensure products are packed securely.


• Load and unload boxes and pallets safely.


• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.


• Assist with stocktakes and inventory control activities.


• Maintain accurate inventory records.


• Ensure all food safety, quality, and health and safety standards are met.


• Conduct quality checks on outgoing products.


• Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised warehouse environment.


• Assist with general warehouse duties as required.


• Work across freezer and chiller environments as part of training and operational requirements.

This is a permanent, full-time role offering 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a flexible roster to support operational needs. If you're looking for extra hours, there may be opportunities to work additional shifts from time to time.

What we’re looking for….

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous warehouse experience, preferably within food, chilled, or freezer environments.


• Holds a current NZ Driver Licence.


• Holds a current Forklift Licence.


• Is physically fit and comfortable lifting and moving stock.


• Can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


• Is comfortable working in freezer and chilled conditions.


• Has strong attention to detail and accuracy.


• Is reliable, punctual, and able to work unsupervised.


• Takes pride in maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards.


• Has a positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a team.


• Follows instructions and workplace procedures.


• Is willing to be cross-trained across different warehouse functions.
