Receptionist/Administrator

We’re looking for a full-time Receptionist/Administrator to join our friendly and busy medical practice. This is a varied role where you’ll be an important part of the team, providing a warm and professional experience for our patients while keeping the day-to-day administration running smoothly. 

Located on the Tokoroa Hospital campus, Tokoroa Medical Centre is whānau and community oriented, with a focus on improving health outcomes by ensuring people get the right care as early as possible. We are owned by Primary Health Care Ltd (PHCL) who also own and operate 8 other general practices in the Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Taranaki regions.

We’re looking for someone with a great attitude and a willingness to get stuck in. You’ll ideally have:

• Previous reception, customer service and/or administration experience


• Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities


• Great computer skills and confidence using different systems and software


• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• A high level of confidentiality, discretion and professionalism 


• Initiative and a practical, solutions-focused approach


• The ability to work independently while also being a great team player


• A genuine commitment to providing excellent service to patients and colleagues


• An interest in process improvement and finding better ways of doing things
