Job Description - Surveyor


Surveyor


We are seeking a Surveyor to support land development projects through the delivery of a broad range of surveying services. Working collaboratively with surveying, engineering, and project management teams, to help deliver accurate and timely survey information that supports successful project outcomes.


This role offers exposure to a variety of survey disciplines, including:



  • Cadastral surveying

  • Construction set-out surveys

  • Topographic surveys

  • UAV surveys

  • Hydrographic surveys

  • Monitoring surveys

  • As-built surveys


Key Responsibilities


Survey Operations



  • Manage and undertake topographic, set-out, hydrographic, monitoring, and as-built surveys.

  • Independently perform construction set-out surveys for civil infrastructure, residential developments, and related projects.

  • Carry out cadastral surveys and prepare cadastral datasets for submission.

  • Deliver accurate survey data, plans, and reports in accordance with company standards.

  • Utilise modern surveying technology and methodologies to achieve efficient project delivery.

  • Ensure all survey work is completed safely, accurately, and within agreed project timeframes.



  • Prepare survey plans, models, calculations, and deliverables for clients and project teams.

  • Process and manage survey data using industry-standard software.

  • Maintain high standards of data quality and documentation.

  • Support project teams with technical surveying advice and solutions.



  • Work closely with the Survey Manager and Team Leaders to develop and improve surveying systems, processes, and best practices.

  • Contribute to a collaborative team culture focused on innovation, quality, and professional growth.

  • Assist in mentoring and supporting junior team members where appropriate.


Experience


We're interested in hearing from survey professionals at various stages of their careers. Ideally, you'll have:



  • Experience delivering cadastral, topographic, and construction surveying projects.

  • Strong working knowledge of 12d and Landonline.

  • Experience processing and managing survey data and preparing survey deliverables.

  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

  • A commitment to accuracy, quality, and client service.

  • Experience with UAV surveying or advanced surveying technologies is advantageous.
