Te Tūranga /About the Role
As a Team Leader in Secondary Butchery at our Finegand site, you will play a key role in supporting daily production operations, leading your team on the floor, and ensuring quality and safety standards are consistently achieved. Secondary Butchery is where carcasses are expertly broken down into retail and wholesale cuts, ready for distribution to customers around the world.

This is a Day Shift position and interested applicants will need to be available for production hours Monday to Friday 5am - 3.30pm approx.; as well as pre-start production meetings and some Saturday work as stock flow requires.
Te Mahi /Key Responsibilities:
• Communicating food safety, quality, and compliance requirements to your team and actively monitoring operations to ensure standards are consistently maintained
• Training, coaching, and developing team members to understand specifications, production targets, and how their contribution supports team success
• Organising daily production requirements in conjunction with your manager and clearly communicating plans and expectations with your team

To be successful in this role, you will bring proven leadership capability, ideally gained within manufacturing, FMCG, or primary industries. You will be passionate about creating a safe, quality-focused, and positive team culture while motivating others to achieve their best. You will also have a continuous improvement mindset and a genuine desire to grow your career within the red meat industry, where development opportunities are extensive.

• Experience within the food processing industry would be advantageous
