Te Tūranga | About the role
As a Summer Intern in Environmental Planning, you will support a practical research project examining the mix of activities operating within Tauranga’s industrial zones. You will combine desktop research with fieldwork to understand where non-industrial activities have been authorised or may be operating without consent, then turn your findings into a clear project report.
Ngā Pukenga | What you’ll need to succeed
You will ideally be studying towards a degree in planning or environmental management and have an understanding of New Zealand’s planning framework, including the Resource Management Act. You will bring strong research and analytical skills, excellent written communication, attention to detail, and the ability to organise information and work both independently and collaboratively. A New Zealand Class 1 driver licence is preferred, although a restricted licence may be considered. You must also be able to work from Tauranga City Council offices as required.
