Dental Assistant | Lumino Botany | Part-Time, Fixed Term

We are currently seeking a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join Lumino Botany on a part-time, fixed-term basis.

Located in the heart of East Auckland, Lumino Botany is a well-established practice known for its welcoming team culture, modern environment, and commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.

This role will be primarily based at Lumino Botany, with one day per week supporting our team at Lumino Ormiston, providing variety and the opportunity to work across two well-established East Auckland practices.

As a Dental Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our clinicians and ensuring our patients receive outstanding care throughout their visit.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting clinicians during a variety of dental procedures
• Preparing and cleaning treatment rooms
• Maintaining high standards of infection control and sterilisation
• Providing exceptional patient care and support throughout appointments
• Managing instruments, materials, and clinical stock
• Completing clinical administration and maintaining accurate patient records
• Working collaboratively with the wider team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice

Hours for this role:

• Tuesday 08:30am - 6:15pm (Botany)
• Wednesday's 08:30am - 5:15pm (Botany)
• Thursdays 08:30 - 5:00pm (Ormiston) 

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or within a healthcare environment is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, patient-focused approach
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
• Confident using computer systems and technology
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• A professional, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
• Valid New Zealand work rights
• Full New Zealand driver's licence and reliable transport required
