We are seeking a Registered Nurse—either a new graduate or an experienced professional—to join our Wellington team in fixed term for 3 months.

Location: South Wairarapa
Hours: 18 to 32 hours per week, (Monday–Friday)

About the Role | Te Mahi

We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse—open to both new graduates and experienced nurses—to join our Homecare Team.

This role is dedicated to supporting a male adolescent client to safely access and participate in the community. You will work as part of a small, supportive team, helping to promote independence, wellbeing, and meaningful engagement in daily life.

You’ll be supported with a comprehensive orientation and ongoing clinical guidance, making this an excellent opportunity whether you are starting your nursing career or bringing valuable experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Support a young adult client to access the community safely


• Transport the client to and from secondary school and attend school with them using the client’s provided vehicle.


• Contribute to personalised care planning and clinical oversight


• Work collaboratively with a small support team


• Monitor progress and review goals regularly


• Support and guide Community Support Workers


• Identify and escalate concerns appropriately


• Empower the client to live as independently as possible

About You

• Registered Nurse with a current NZNC practising certificate (or eligible as a new graduate)


• Open to new graduates and experienced nurses


• Passion for community-based care and supporting young adults


• Ability to work both independently and within a team


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Positive, adaptable, and solutions-focused


• Full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence


• Legal right to work in New Zealand


• Candidates residing in Carterton, Greytown, Martinborough preferred
