About the Role
We have an exciting part-time opportunity for an organised, proactive, and hands-on Finance Administrator to join our Forestry team based just outside Gisborne.
This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of a busy forestry operation. You will provide key administrative support to our Forestry Managers and wider team, helping to keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly, efficiently, and safely. No two days are the same, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and being part of a close-knit team.
In addition to supporting the forestry team, you'll engage with a wide range of stakeholders including contractors, suppliers, customers, and service providers, playing an important role in maintaining strong relationships across the business.

Core Responsibilities
- General administration including log docket reconciliations, data entry, filing, reporting, and maintaining accounts documentation and registers.
- Providing clerical and secretarial support, including coordinating travel and meetings, preparing meeting minutes, managing schedules, receptionist duties, and ordering office supplies.
- Monitoring base radio communications and assisting with emergency response coordination when required.
- Building and maintaining positive working relationships with contractors, suppliers, customers, service providers, and internal stakeholders.
- Assisting the team with a variety of other administrative and operational support tasks as required.
Our Ideal Candidate
- Available to work 25–30 flexible hours per week across five days.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
- Demonstrates professionalism, initiative, and a strong work ethic.
- Experienced in administration and confident using Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Positive, adaptable, and eager to learn new skills.
- Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
