Application Integration Specialist -Lead in banking domain

We have an urgent requirement for Application Integration Specialist -Lead in banking domain is required for our banking client in Oman 

Lead technical analysis, API development/configuration, and system administration; ensure availability and compliance with Bank IT standards.--MustMonitor supported systems, manage incidents with RCA, perform capacity planning, and implement corrective/preventive actions to maintain performance and security.--MustCollaborate with Agile teams on API projects, review architecture/design for enhancements, and ensure timely, quality deliverables--MustApply advanced integration skills (ESQL, Java, WebSphere, SOA), maintain industry certifications, foster relationships across teams, and contribute to innovation and continuous improvement.--MustBanking Domain --MustMain Role (Overall Accountability)Responsible for Application Integration including, Technical Analysis, developing & configuring API application & administration, liaison work with application management teams to ensure best practices and liaison work with Bank’s information Technology groups to ensure system availability. Project work and analysis will include implementation of best practices across systems supporting proprietary and commercial API applications.

• Design, develop and maintain complex API services based on Industry standards and best practices


• Develop and suggests solution based on the analysis of project objectives, needs and existing application systems and infrastructure.


• Coordinate all required monitoring activities for the supported systems, including operation of utilities to support customer system and data implementations. Responsible for maintenance and emergency response outside of normal business hours as necessary to maintain general network health and/or upgrades.


• Responsible for Issue resolution & RCA for support incidents and follow proper escalation processes to meet or exceed target resolution timeframes. Responsible for involving resources outside of Operations when necessary to resolve.


• Collect and analyze system usage statistics and engage in capacity planning required to manage the supported systems to accommodate growth and to support ongoing engineering initiatives.


• Must adhere to all standards & processes defined in the team for project delivery, peer review, security, incident & problem management.


• Implement security processes (both technical and procedural) to ensure uninterrupted operations and to comply with Bank and data privacy policies.


• Must ensure that appropriate corrective and preventive actions are undertaken and resolve problems as soon as they arise.


• Must contribute ideas to help the support team to become more effective and seek ideas from other team members.

Projects

• Co-ordinate with the Agile team for API development projects as necessary.


• Must assist in planning different activities of the project using Agile methodology to achieve well-documented and controlled development so that clarity and transparency is maintained.


• Must ensure project deliverables are within planned milestones/on-time and within agreed quality parameters.

System Enhancements

• Must assist the support team in making proper decisions and using right methodology during application development.


• Must review the architecture, the design, specifications and technical documents related to any enhancement.

Personnel SpecificationsQualifications

• Bachelor/Master degree in Computer engineering, Mathematics or Physical Science.  


• Certification in IBM WebSphere Message Broker (or IBM Integration Bus) and IBM WebSphere MQ


• Relevant Technology related professional certifications desirable

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in designing, developing and implementing API solutions.


• Advanced to expert knowledge, experience, and understanding of architecture, applications systems design, and integration. 


• Must have extensive experience implementing complex Message Flows using ESQL & Java and Message sets using various enterprise integration patterns


• Experience in designing and implementing SOA, and WebSphere Services, both SOAP and RESTful integration solutions using WebSphere Message Broker


• Strong integration experience with various integration patterns/methods and technologies


• Working knowledge in UNIX environments (preferably Linux), including shell scripting.


• Java, J2EE - good understanding.
