Job Description - HSE Manager

The HSE Manager is
responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all Health, Safety,
and Environmental (HSE
)
procedures at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The role ensures
compliance with applicable laws, environmental permits, and corporate
standards while promoting a strong safety culture and minimizing operational,
environmental, and occupational risks.
      


MAIN TASKS

  • Define updates, apply, and check application of
    HSEI Plan and Procedures.

  • Ensure full compliance with applicable local
    laws, regulations, and company HSE standards

  • Implement and Follow up the incident procedures,
    Analyze the reporting of work accidents on site and follow actions.

  • Constantly keep employees and sub -contractors
    aware of the risks with a strong daily presence on site.

  • Communicate safety
    Flashes.

  • Lead & control update of the plant Risk
    assessment.

  • Audit Isolation procedure implementation and
    provide necessary tools for implementation.

  • Attend pre -job safety meeting on special jobs
    (Confined space - Working at height – Hot work)

  • Control update of the Safety precautions on the
    SMP & SOP.

  • Ensure that the safety signs system is on place
    and on good condition.

  • Lead & Control Inspection of workshop
    equipment (Drilling machines - Grinders - Discs…....).

  • Communicate & Lead implementation of
    Recognition & Fair sanction policy.

  • Control & applies safety equipment inspection
    (Daily – Monthly) and submit monthly inspection report.

  • Lead & control the periodic lifting
    inspection schedule (Accessories & Equipment).

  • Control & applies
    Accreditation and awareness system.




Requirements


Expereince -
  • From 8 to 10 years in the same field.
Education -
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering –
    Mechanical/Electrical

Qualification -
  • Ability to train, influence and
    motivate team members

  • Principles, practices and applicable
    equipment related to industrial safety, hygiene, and hazardous waste
    management

  • Standard
    occupational hazards, including accident analysis and prevention techniques

  • Risk assessment and incident
    investigation skills

  • Regulatory compliance expertise
  • Leadership and communication skills
  • Strong reporting and documentation
    capability

  • Must be Oman resident
  • Must have  driving licencse.
