We have an urgent requirement for Power BI Developer – Reporting & Visualization Specialist in banking domain for our banking client in Muscat, Oman

Strong experience in dashboard development, reporting, visualization, and analytics, preferably within the banking domain.--MustResponsible for developing and maintaining interactive Power BI dashboards, optimizing data models, and delivering insights using financial and transactional data--MustStrong expertise required in Power BI Report Server, DAX, Power Query, T-SQL, SQL Server, data visualization, report performance optimization, and Row-Level Security (RLS).--MustExperience in banking analytics and reporting is essential; knowledge of SAS and SSRS is an added advantage.--Must

Main Role (Overall accountability):

We are seeking a Power BI Developer specializing in report development, visualization, and analytics to support the Business Intelligence Unit (BIU) at Bank .The ideal candidate will be responsible forcreating, optimizing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards that provide key insights into banking operations and customer analytics.This role requires strong experience in banking data visualization, ensuring that reporting aligns with key financial metrics and decision-making processes. The candidate will work with on-premises Power BI ReportServer and SQL Server to develop high-quality dashboards and ensure data integrity. Omani nationals are preferred with the needed expertise.
Principal Accountabilities:• Develop highly interactive and visually impactful Power BI dashboards for banking analytics.• Optimize Power BI data models for efficient reporting and fast performance.• Write T-SQL queries and stored procedures to extract and process banking data.• Implement row-level security (RLS) and access control in Power BI Report Server.• Monitor report performance and refresh schedules for seamless reporting operations.• Work with financial and transactional data to ensure reporting accuracy.• Apply UI/UX best practices to enhance report usability.• Collaborate with BIU team leads to refine reporting requirements and align with internal banking Analytics.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies Required:
Experience:• Experience with SAS is an added advantage.• Experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) for paginated reports.• Familiarity with SAS-based data processing.• Strong understanding of report usability and dashboard design best practices
