Senior Gis Consultant

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of GIS solutions using ESRI technologies in line with business requirements.
  


• Provide expert advice on geospatial strategies, system architecture, and best practices.
  


• Manage and maintain GIS platforms, including ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, and Portal for ArcGIS.
  


• Oversee spatial data management, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and security of GIS databases.
  


• Develop and optimize GIS applications, tools, and workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
  


• Integrate GIS solutions with enterprise systems, including Oracle and SQL Server databases.
  


• Conduct advanced spatial analysis and produce high-quality maps, reports, and visualizations.
  


• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into GIS solutions.
  


• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior GIS staff and team members.
  


• Troubleshoot system issues and ensure high availability and performance of GIS services.
  


• Stay updated with emerging GIS technologies and recommend continuous improvements.
  


• Support project delivery by ensuring timelines, quality standards, and client expectations are met.
  


• Prepare and deliver technical documentation, presentations, and user training when required.
  

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  


• Preferred to hold Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) and/or Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) certifications.
  


• ESRI certification is an advantage.
  

Minimum Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience working with ESRI products, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, and Portal for ArcGIS.
  


• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with Oracle and/or SQL Server databases.
  

Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong proficiency in ESRI products (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS, and related tools).
  


• Experience in Oracle and SQL Server database management.
  


• Ability to work independently on assigned projects as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  


• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, PL/SQL, C#, VB.NET, HTML5, and/or JavaScript.
  


• Ability to communicate GIS requirements effectively to non-GIS professionals.
  


• Knowledge of servers and network infrastructure administration.
