A. Project Implementation • Provide technical inputs and guidance required for the implementation of project activities. • Ensure the successful and timely implementation of projects and other activities in Laak CDP as directed by the field manager and the Economic Division Manager • Identify resource needs of the project team, report and recommend solutions and courses of action to the field manager

• Overall management of the banana tissue culture research and development
• Lead and supervise project level activities as defined by the project implementation

plan, and site-work plan. • Organize and facilitate community mobilization and consultations relevant to the project • Provide technical assistance/backstopping to the stakeholders for Climate Resilient Agriculture and Banana Nursery and Tissue Culture production. • Ensure the production of the banana plantlets and banana nursery by supporting the development of Banana Nursery and Tissue Culture production in the CDP • Co-facilitate the conduct of Enhanced Farmers Field School (EFFS) in Banana Production

• Support the development of the banana greenhouse and nursery management
• Closely collaborate with the stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of

the project. B. Monitoring and Evaluation • Regularly visit project area for monitoring and participate/organize joint monitoring with project team partners. • Lead in the monitoring and evaluation of the community project and ensure that systems are in place to support the implementation of equality in community projects. • Ensure the development of good practice by supporting the development of strong M&E mechanisms and identify gaps in the standards project implementation. • Submit the reports including interim reports and final reports. C. Networking and Partnership

• Coordinate and establish partnership with Government Line Agencies and Non-Government organizations in line with the project.
• Collaborate with potential partners and relevant stakeholders to support the project.

Qualifications

• At least a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Agriculture or other related courses
• Has relevant experiences in farm operations, research and development, and

planning • With knowledge or has experience in implementing project related to climate smart/resilient agriculture specifically on Enhanced Farmers Field School (EFFS) on Banana Production

• Experience in banana greenhouses and nursery management.
• With basic knowledge on DRR-CCA in agriculture.
• With at least 3-year experience working in the Banana Industry
• With knowledge and skills to work with multistakeholder including the academe and

the local government units (LGUs) • Must have a heart and strong passion for the poor and sustainable agriculture and climate resilience.

• With knowledge and skills in Project Cycle Management
• Has experience in field works and with amicable rapport with the farmers and

community

• Knowledge in computer (MS word, excel and power point) is a must
• Above average written and oral communication skills in English and Filipino, including

ability to present coherent and convincing analyses to different audiences • Excellent in report writing.
