Accounting Clerk (Entry-Level) - Skarya Builders, Inc. 

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our growing team. In the construction industry, every nail and beam has a cost and you’ll be the one helping us track it. You will support our department by processing invoices, managing vendor communications and ensuring our project costs are accurately recorded.

This is a perfect role for a recent graduate or someone with 1–2 years of experience looking to build a career in Construction Accounting. 

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable: Process high-volume vendor invoices and ensure they are coded to the correct job and cost code.


• Lien Waivers: Assist in collecting and tracking lien waivers from subcontractors to ensure project compliance.


• Credit Card Reconciliation: Match receipts to monthly statements for our field crews and project managers.


• Data Entry: Maintain accurate financial records 


• Administrative Support: Assist with audits, filing and answering basic billing inquiries from vendors.
  
  

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (or equivalent experience).


• Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel 


• Detail Obsessed: You catch the error that everyone else misses.


• Communication: Ability to communicate professionally with both office staff and field supervisors.


• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Job Costing or the construction industry is a major plus but not required.
