Accountable for delivery of key finance processes. What you’ll be doing


Job Description

  • Execute Accounts Payable (AP) control activities with accuracy, due diligence, and adherence to global and local performance targets.

  • Identify and escalate issues impacting reconciliation and control activities to the Controls Team Manager.

  • Ensure full compliance with SOX requirements and applicable business controls.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners—including Business stakeholders, Contracting & Procurement, Inventory Management, and third-party suppliers—to resolve control and invoice-related issues.

  • Process, post, and resolve invoices in accordance with standard AP Work Instructions and country-specific guidelines.

  • Manage invoice discrepancies and exceptions such as OTV items, vendor account issues, IQN transactions, tolerance reviews, and stop/void payment requests.

  • Monitor and act on key AP control reports, including duplicates, parked/blocked invoices, GRIR balances, and vendor mismatches.

  • Validate invoice data prior to posting to ensure accuracy and minimize rework.

  • Apply knowledge of withholding tax, VAT, and relevant tax/transaction codes in invoice processing and vendor support.

  • Respond to vendor inquiries professionally, ensuring a “safe hands” approach in every interaction.

  • Support operational and stakeholder management engagements as required.

  • Proactively identify and recommend process improvements to enable continuous efficiency gains.

  • Consistently deliver activities within agreed global and local KPIs.

Special Challenges

  • Maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across multiple operating units and diverse cultural backgrounds.

  • Quickly learn and adapt to new ERP systems to support team operations and cross-training needs.

  • Serve as a trainer and mentor for incoming team members, ensuring smooth onboarding and capability building.

  • Consistently deliver high‑quality output while managing pressure from daily cut‑off times and operational deadlines.

  • Collaborate effectively in a virtual environment with colleagues across business teams, global centers, and wider Finance Operations.

What you bring

Qualifications Required

  • Proficiency in Mandarin, with the ability to read Mandarin‑character invoices and communicate fluently in Mandarin (writing optional).

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Accountancy preferred.

  • Prior work experience in Accounting is an advantage.

  • Strong command of English with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and effective problem-solving abilities.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, customer-focused, and committed to continuous improvement.

  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and handle time-sensitive tasks.

  • Proficient computer skills; experience with ERP systems and Microsoft applications is a plus.
