JOB DESCRIPTION FOR AN AR/AP SPECIALIST (FMCG / PRODUCT -BASED BUSINESS)
We are seeking a detail -oriented and experienced AR/AP Specialist to support a fast -paced FMCG / product -based business. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions, maintaining clean financial records, and ensuring ERP -based accounting processes run efficiently.
The ideal candidate has solid experience in AR/AP functions, is highly proficient in Excel, and is comfortable navigating enterprise -level ERP systems. Exposure to FMCG or retail environments and dealing with complex remittances is highly regarded.
Responsibilities as an AR/AP Specialist
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions including invoices and expenses with accuracy. • Maintain and update spreadsheets, databases, and ERP systems (Excel -heavy role). • Monitor AR/AP balances, track payments, and reconcile records. • Flag discrepancies and ensure data integrity across all financial systems. • Manage and organise digital documentation and records. • Provide general support with reporting and accounting administration. • Coordinate internally to ensure records are complete and accurate.
Qualifications as an AR/AP Specialist: • 2–3 years of proven experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Accounts Administration, or Data Entry roles. • Extensive hands -on experience processing both AR and AP transactions. • Strong Excel skills (essential). • Experience working with accounting or enterprise -level ERP systems. • Must -have: Experience using Microsoft Dynamics AX (2009) or SAP Business One. • Experience with high -level ERP systems such as MS Dynamics or SAP is highly regarded. • Exposure to FMCG, retail, or product -based businesses is highly preferred. • Experience handling major retailer remittances and complex payment reconciliations. • Exceptional attention to detail and strong commitment to data accuracy. • Ability to learn new systems quickly and follow established processes efficiently. • High level of trustworthiness and integrity, particularly when handling financial data. • Reliable, consistent, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
