Contracts Manager, APAC Legal Operations & Commercial Contracts

Genesys is seeking a Contracts Manager to support the APAC Commercial Legal team with sales-related legal intake, contract triage, routine negotiations, legal operations support, and commercial legal projects.

This role is suited to a commercially minded contracts professional who can exercise independent judgment, manage ambiguity, and move matters forward without waiting for every issue to be covered by a process. The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Deal Desk, Privacy, Security, and Legal stakeholders across APAC and occasionally, globally.

Key responsibilities

• Triage and manage legal requests from APAC sales teams, including prioritization, issue-spotting, and escalation to counsel where appropriate.
• Review, negotiate, and coordinate routine commercial documents, including NDAs, order forms, amendments, and lower-risk customer contract terms.
• Apply approved legal positions and playbooks while exercising sound judgment on when a matter requires bespoke legal input.
• Support contract administration, intake management, matter tracking, approvals, signature processes, and legal operations reporting.
• Partner with the regional legal lead for APAC to improve workflows, templates, guidance notes, and self-service tools for Sales.
• Support regional commercial legal projects, including process improvements, contract remediation, policy rollouts, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders by providing practical, timely, and commercially focused support.

Preferred experience

• 8+ years’ experience in contracts management, legal operations, commercial contracting, procurement contracts, or in-house legal support.
• Experience supporting technology, SaaS, cloud, outsourcing, telecommunications, financial services, or multinational sales teams.
• Strong judgment, prioritisation, stakeholder management, and written communication skills.
• Comfortable working across jurisdictions, time zones, and global approval frameworks.
• Familiarity with CLM tools, Salesforce, intake systems, e-signature platforms, and contract playbooks preferred.
• Legal qualification is helpful but not required.
