POSITION TITLE: Controllership Analyst
WORK SETUP: Hybrid
OVERALL PURPOSE:
The Controllership Analyst under the Financial Reporting & Controls (FRC) Tower is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial records through timely journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and execution of internal controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Financial Reporting & Close Execution
a. Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with applicable accounting standards, internal policies, and close timelines.
b. Perform balance sheet account reconciliations with appropriate supporting documentation, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely certification.
c. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including pre-close validations and post-close adjustments.
d. Identify, analyze, and resolve reconciling items, variances, and unusual fluctuations through root-cause analysis and corrective action
2. Internal Controls & Compliance
a. Execute and evidence assigned key internal controls (e.g., verification of recurring entries, reconciliations, approvals) in line with control standards and testing requirements.
b. Ensure compliance with internal control frameworks, accounting policies, and audit requirements.
c. Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, explanations, and documentation; address audit queries in a timely and accurate manner.
d. Proactively identify control gaps or risks and recommend remediation or process enhancements.
3. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
a. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Payroll, Treasury, Intercompany, Fixed Assets, Lease, SPF, and other Finance towers) to resolve reconciling items and close dependencies.
b. Communicate clearly with stakeholders on status, issues, and required follow-ups, escalating risks when necessary.

4. Process Improvement & Quality
a. Participate in process improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and control effectiveness.
b. Comply with documentation standards and ensure audit-ready files at all times.
c. Contribute to knowledge sharing, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives within the FRC Tower

SKILL AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• With 1-3 years relevant experience in accounting/controllership, financial reporting, or audit
• Hands on experience with journal entry preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end/period-end close activities
• Familiarity with SAP is required
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, i.e., pivot, formulas, lookups, and reconciliation analysis
• CPA is preferred, NOT required
• Experience working in a shared services or global finance environment is preferred, NOT required
