Position Title: Deployment Officer

Job Summary:

The Deployment Engineer is responsible for the controlled, secure, and compliant execution of approved technology deployments across the Bank’s non‑production and production environments.

The role ensures that all deployments strictly follow approved change records, release schedules, deployment controls, and documented rollback procedures, in accordance with the Bank’s risk appetite, internal control standards, security requirements, and regulatory expectations.

As part of a key control function, the Deployment Engineer helps safeguard system stability, service availability, and auditability during application and infrastructure deployments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Deployment Readiness

•Support the validation of deployment requests to ensure alignment with approved change records, release authorizations, and scheduled deployment windows.

•Assist in confirming deployment readiness by verifying the availability of tested release artifacts, implementation scripts, approved rollback plans, and required access and approvals prior to execution.

•Ensure deployment documentation is complete and properly recorded in designated systems.

Deployment Execution

•Execute application and infrastructure deployments across non production and production environments using clearly defined, well controlled, repeatable, and auditable deployment methods.

•Adhere strictly to defined deployment controls, escalation procedures, and security requirements.

•Perform deployments accurately and within approved timelines.

•Communicate deployment status, issues, and completion updates to relevant teams as required.

Post Deployment and Operational Handover

•Assist in obtaining confirmation of deployment outcomes from stakeholders and support teams.

•Support service readiness checks and a controlled transition to operations following deployment completion.

•Escalate post deployment issues or anomalies in accordance with established procedures.

Audit, Documentation, and Compliance

•Maintain accurate, auditable, and traceable records of deployment activities in accordance with internal control and compliance requirements.

•Support audit and review activities by providing required deployment evidence and documentation.

•Follow deployment standards, policies, and procedures to support regulatory and internal control compliance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

•Participate in change review sessions, release readiness reviews, and go/no-go decisions by providing deployment risk and readiness inputs.

•Provide feedback on automation gaps and improvement opportunities to assist DevSecOps Integration Section to increase CI/CD adoption and deployment automation

•Identify opportunities to reduce manual intervention by increasing deployment automation, improving efficiency, consistency, and reliability, and drive continuous improvement through preventive actions arising from deployment issues or incidents.

•Maintain and continuously improve deployment standards, documentation, and checklists.

•Escalate deployment risks, issues, or deviations to the Deployment Lead promptly.

Qualifications:

·  At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Release Deployment, Release Engineering, DevOps, and IT Operations

·  Strong working knowledge of Linux and Windows environments, including Windows Systems administration

·  Experience with CI/CD pipelines using deployment tools such as Jenkins and GitLab

·  Basic scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell and Python.
