What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be part of the Retention team, supporting short-form DTC copy creation across multiple ecommerce client accounts. Your key tasks will include:

• Writing short-form copy for promotional email campaigns, lifecycle automated flows (welcome, abandonment, post-purchase, winback), product launches, and retention programs.   

• Developing subject lines, preheaders, headlines, body copy, calls-to-action (CTAs), and SMS messaging.   Translating creative briefs and strategic objectives into clear, high-converting copy variations for A/B testing.   

• Incorporating client and internal feedback while preserving brand voice alignment and messaging clarity.   

• Performing quality assurance (QA) on all copy prior to launch to maintain a 98%+ error-free rate in grammar, polish, and brief compliance.   

• Collaborating closely with cross-functional agency teams including project managers, strategists, and designers to meet fast-paced deadlines

What You’ll Bring

• Proven portfolio showcasing short-form DTC email and SMS copy across at least 2–3 distinct ecommerce brand voices.

• Strong understanding of copy hierarchy, hooks, offers, CTAs, and conversion-focused structures.

• Excellent editing, proofreading, and English grammar skills with high attention to detail.

• Strong judgment regarding when copy requires more context versus when less is more.

• High adaptability to shift effortlessly between diverse brand tones, target audiences, and product categories.

• Collaborative mindset with a commitment to reliability, meeting agreed SLAs, and delivering under fast-paced agency deadlines.

Bonus Points For

• Experience working within Klaviyo or similar email/SMS marketing platforms.

• Familiarity with customer journey strategy, segmentation, and retention marketing agency practices.
