Failure Analysis Laboratory Operator

I. Basic Purpose of the Job

Responsible in rendering skill-based support and basic FA support services to production’s maverick lots, reliability monitoring, DPA evaluations, qualifications and customer returns. 

II. Reporting Relationship

The position reports to the Failure Analysis Laboratory Group Leader/Manager

 

III. Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs skilled support on package related evaluations using FA visual and electron microscopy inspection tools. 


• Provide basic support/services to both internal and external customer; like X-ray, SAT, SEM/EDX, macro and micro inspection, and micro-sectioning.


• Performs sample preparation and cleaning to make sure the returned sample from the customer is fit for ATE verification.


• Assists FA personnel in administrative tasks like general store supplies.


• Conducts periodic housekeeping in the area especially at the wet lab.

IV. Job Specifications

• Education / Experience
  
  
  
  • Graduate of a Technical course.
  
  
  • Preferred with at least 2 yrs experience in semiconductor manufacturing process
  
  


• Skills 
  
  
  
  • Possess basic analytical and problem-solving skills
  
  
  • Hands-on experience in working with optical microscope, SEM, SAT, X-ray, and other failure analysis inspection tools.
  
  
  • Has acceptable communication skill 
  
  
  • Computer knowledge with skills in usage of MS OFFICE.
