Fixed Assets and Inventory Specialist

Position Summary:

The Fixed Asset and Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate fixed asset and inventory records, performing reconciliations, coordinating physical counts, and ensuring proper documentation and internal controls. 

The position requires advanced Microsoft Excel skills, proficiency in Microsoft Forms, and preferably hands-on experience with Odoo.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinates closely with the procurement team to ensure that all asset deliveries are properly received, inventoried, and distributed or stored properly. 

• Maintain accurate fixed asset and inventory records, including acquisitions, transfers, assignments, returns, and disposals. 

• Manage and reconcile asset and inventory transactions in Odoo. 

• Maintain asset registers, tagging records, depreciation schedules, and supporting documentation. 

• Coordinate physical inventory counts and investigate discrepancies. 

• Reconcile fixed asset and inventory records with the general ledger. 

• Develop Excel-based reports, reconciliations, trackers, and dashboards. 

• Utilize Microsoft Forms for asset issuance, transfers, returns, acknowledgments, and physical verification. 

• Support internal and external audits and maintain appropriate documentation. 

• Identify opportunities to improve and automate asset and inventory processes. 

Qualifications :

Education 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. 

Experience 

• More than 2 years of experience in fixed asset management, inventory control, or accounting. 

• Experience in asset tracking, reconciliations, and physical inventory counts. 

• Odoo experience is highly preferred. 

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision. 

Technical Skills 

• Advanced to expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel. 

• Proficient in Microsoft Forms for asset tracking and data collection. 

• Knowledge of fixed asset and inventory processes and controls.
