FPE Network Engineer

Role Overview

We are hiring an FPE Network Engineer for a hands-on, first-principles infrastructure and network security role. This is a highly technical position, not a management or product role.

You will own the physical network and network security end-to-end for a ~200-person Manila office, while also designing cloud-to-physical (hybrid) infrastructure for test environments.

This role reports operationally to the Head of Engineering Operations and works directly with the CTO on technical and architectural decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage physical network infrastructure (routers, switches, Wi-Fi, ISP connectivity)
  




• Own and manage network security end-to-end, including:
  

  
  
  
  

  • VPN configuration
    

  
  

  • Firewall rules and policies
    

  
  

  • Web Application Firewall (WAF)
    

  
  

  • DNS management
    

  
  

  • SSL certificate provisioning
    

  
  



• Ensure compliance with HIPAA/SOC2 standards as an ongoing operational practice
  




• Design and implement hybrid/cloud-to-physical infrastructure for test environments
  




• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance, reliability, and security
  




• Work closely with leadership on infrastructure and security architecture decisions

Qualifications

• Proven experience in designing and managing physical network infrastructure
  




• Hands-on expertise in:
  

  
  
  
  

  • VPNs, firewalls, WAF, DNS, SSL
    

  
  



• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices
  




• Experience working in HIPAA or SOC2-compliant environments
  




• Ability to design and implement scalable and secure infrastructure
  




• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
