General Manager

As a General Manager, you will lead our operations and oversee the management of our entities in the region. You will play a key role in driving commercial success, overseeing contracting and sales, and leading a dedicated team to achieve our business objectives.

Working closely with teams across the business, you will shape and deliver the regional commercial strategy, strengthen partnerships with accommodation providers, and ensure strong financial and operational performance.

In this role you will:

Key responsibilities

• Commercial strategy: Help develop and execute the commercial strategy for the region, focusing on revenue growth, market expansion and strengthening the company's market position.
• Contracting and partnerships: Lead by example to build strong partnerships with hotels and other accommodation providers, offering clients an extensive and diverse portfolio.
• Sales management: Drive sales performance through effective leadership and motivation of the sales team, monitoring and analysing sales data, identifying trends and implementing strategies to achieve sales targets.
• Team leadership and mentoring: Manage and mentor your teams, providing guidance, support and development opportunities to optimise performance while fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Operational efficiency: Continuously improve operational processes to increase efficiency and provide exceptional customer service to our travel partners.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Marketing, IT and Finance, to align strategies and achieve overall company objectives.
• Budget management: Take responsibility for the financial performance of the region, developing and managing budgets and closely monitoring expenses and revenue to ensure financial targets are met.
• Market analysis: Stay up to date with market trends, competitor activities and industry developments to make informed business decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
• Business development and expansion: Research new and emerging markets, oversee the opening of new offices when required, and work with HR to support the recruitment or relocation of key team members.
• Additional responsibilities: Carry out any ad hoc duties required of the General Manager role to support business needs.

• 1-2 years of experience in a similar position is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in any field, with a preference for Business Administration or Hospitality and Tourism.
• Analytical mindset, with the ability to review supplier performance and optimise results.
• Independent, positive and highly responsible approach to work.
• Proactive, results-driven attitude, with a strong commitment to securing the best deals with suppliers.
• Friendly, people-oriented approach, enjoying interaction with suppliers and networking across the organisation to use our global network to strengthen our market proposition.
• Strong customer focus and the drive to resolve any issues that may be a barrier to sales.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Good written and spoken English.
