Healthcare Billing Specialist

Job Description:

The Healthcare Billing Specialist supports accurate and timely billing and reimbursement for healthcare professionals. This role is responsible for validating time, rates, and services billed to healthcare facilities or clinics, ensuring alignment with client contracts and internal billing guidelines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable working in a structured, high-volume environment where accuracy and timeliness are critical.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process billing and reimbursement data for healthcare professionals, including clinicians, physicians, and nurses
• Validate time records, billing rates, and service details prior to invoicing
• Ensure billing accuracy and compliance with client contracts, facility agreements, and internal guidelines
• Assist with resolving billing discrepancies, adjustments, and basic invoice issues
• Collaborate with operations, payroll, and finance teams to correct billing data as needed
• Maintain accurate, audit-ready billing documentation and records
• Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and billing timelines
• Meet daily productivity, accuracy, and service level agreement (SLA) expectations

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of billing, invoicing, or reimbursement processes
• Strong data validation and reconciliation skills
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail and numerical accuracy

• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to perform repetitive, volume-driven tasks with consistency and accuracy
• Willing to work on a hybrid set up (3x a week) in Ayala Avenue, Makati

Minimum Work Experience:

• At least 6 months of experience in billing, finance, operations, or administrative support
  • Local experience may be considered

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to healthcare staffing, provider billing, or shared services environments
• Basic knowledge of healthcare terminology
