Job Title: Junior Site Engineer

Company: Skarya Construction, Inc. 

Location: Site-Based (Project Site)

Reports to: Operations Manager / Project Manager

Job Summary

The Junior Site Engineer will provide technical support and supervision for on-site construction activities. You will be responsible for ensuring that work is carried out according to architectural/engineering designs, within the specified timeline, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. This is a hands-on role requiring active presence on the construction floor.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Supervision & Execution

• Supervise daily construction activities to ensure they align with approved blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.


• Monitor and coordinate the work of subcontractors and site laborers to maintain productivity.


• Assist in setting out site works, including leveling and surveying to ensure accurate placement of structures.

2. Quality Control & Safety

• Conduct regular inspections of work-in-progress to identify and rectify any technical defects or deviations from the plan.


• Enforce strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols to maintain a zero-accident site.


• Verify that the materials delivered to the site meet the required project standards.

3. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare and submit Daily Progress Reports (DPR) detailing manpower, material usage, and milestones achieved.


• Maintain a detailed site diary and document any delays or weather-related issues.


• Assist in the preparation of "As-Built" drawings upon project completion.

4. Resource Management

• Monitor material inventory on-site to prevent shortages or wastage.


• Coordinate with the procurement team for timely delivery of equipment and supplies.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel).
  
  
  • Basic understanding of project management software (e.g., MS Project or Primavera).
  
  
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and structural plans.
  
  
  
  


• Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills, physical stamina for site work, and excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between management and laborers.

Working Conditions

• This is a site-based position; the candidate must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.


• May require extended hours or weekend work depending on project deadlines and critical milestones.
