Junior SOC Specialist, IT Security

Position target:

To monitor, investigate, and respond to security events and incidents while developing foundational cybersecurity skills, supporting SOC operations, and contributing to the protection of the organization's information assets.

Tasks and responsibilities:

1. Daily security incident handling.


2. Function as SPOC for IT security incidents.


3. Evaluate security alerts and utilize OSINT to support security investigations.


4. Escalate security threats, risks, and incidents in accordance with established procedures.


5. Support security incident reporting.


6. Basic knowledge of security tools including SIEM, EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response), Email Security Appliance, Web Proxy, Firewall, IDS/IPS, Vulnerability Scanner, and SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation and Response).


7. Good understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including the Cyber Kill Chain, MITRE ATT&CK Framework, and adversary TTPs.


8. Develop skills within a selected field of IT security through practical experience and training.


9. Support internal documentation of work, processes, and procedures.


10. Support SOC improvements, initiatives, and operational changes.


11. Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.


12. Compliance with internal regulations, procedures, laws, and management directives, including labor regulations, remuneration policies, and intellectual property protection requirements.


13. Behaviors and attitudes consistent with company values.


14. Professional skills development through participation in training and continuous self-education.

Education and Skills:

1. University degree in IT, or


2. Relevant IT related education or courses

Minimal Work Experience:

1. 1 year of IT security related work, or


2. 3 years’ experience within network, OS or application development
