The Impact you will have in this role:
Being a member of the Distributed Capacity Assessment Team, in this role, you will analyze infrastructure performance metrics to ensure infrastructure resources are sufficient to handle current and future demand of our services. Your key responsibilities will include identifying capacity risks and escalating if necessary, collaborating with product management and application development to perform capacity server assessments, and initiating process improvements. You will work with a broad, cross-functional global team to drive innovation and efficiency in our capacity management procedures
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement capacity planning strategies to ensure optimal resource utilization and meet business demands.
- Monitor system performance and capacity metrics to ensure efficient operation and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on capacity utilization, performance metrics, and recommendations for improvements.
- Work closely with other departments, such as IT, operations, and product management, to align capacity planning with business goals.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and performance of data reporting and visualizations, supporting critical business decisions.
- Identify and implement AI/GenAI-enabled solutions (e.g., forecasting, anomaly detection, and natural-language reporting) to improve capacity planning accuracy, speed, and stakeholder insights.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the automation and capacity management processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience in Excel macros and/or database queries, with a focus on analyzing trends.
- Experience working with SQL Server, Oracle DB, and Snowflake, with expertise in database design and optimization.
- Experience using AI/ML tools (e.g., Python-based analytics, forecasting models, or GenAI copilots) to automate reporting, improve capacity insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Understanding of responsible AI practices (data privacy, security, and validation of AI-generated outputs) in an enterprise environment.
Talents Needed for Success:
- Excellent communication and people skills, with experience working in a diverse, global environment.
- Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- ITIL certifications are highly desirable.
- Knowledge in Agile methodology and related tools such as Jira.
- Knowledge of ITSM tools such as ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of capacity planning and management, particularly in the context of on-premises infrastructure such as clusters, databases, servers, and storage.
- Project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and deliver results in a dynamic environment
