Our client is a custom metal fabrication company specializing in precision manufacturing solutions. They provide engineering, laser cutting, stamping, brake press forming, welding, machining, and assembly services, delivering high-quality fabricated metal products for a range of industrial applications. 

About the Role

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, and estimating manufacturing processes for metal fabrication products. This role integrates engineering design, cost estimation, and process optimization while supporting cross-functional teams to deliver cost-effective, high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in fabrication processes, quoting/estimation, and CAD tools, along with emerging capabilities in AI-driven engineering tools and data-informed decision-making.

What You'll Do

• Analyze RFQs, drawings, and specifications to prepare cost estimates and quotes


• Develop process plans for laser cutting, stamping, brake press, welding, and fabrication


•  Design fixtures and tooling to improve production efficiency


•  Optimize manufacturing processes and reduce cost drivers


•  Collaborate with Sales, Production, and Suppliers on design and manufacturability


•  Support project launches and continuous improvement initiatives

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience


• 5+ years in metal fabrication / manufacturing engineering


• Strong knowledge of fabrication processes and cost estimation


• Proficiency in SolidWorks and blueprint reading (GD&T)


• Proficiency in MS Office Suite


• Familiarity with using AI tools for work efficiency improvement

Preferred Qualifications

• Mastercam programming experience


• Experience with AI tools for engineering or estimation


• Fixture design and tooling optimization experience


• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems

Core Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability


• Cost-conscious and detail-oriented


• Ability to manage multiple RFQs/projects


• Effective cross-functional communication
