We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Final Test Equipment Engineer II to support and optimize semiconductor final test operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Automated Test Equipment (ATE), with handler experience considered a strong advantage. This role will be responsible for maintaining, improving, troubleshooting, and qualifying test equipment to ensure maximum uptime, product quality, and manufacturing efficiency.
Responsibilities
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Provide engineering support for final test equipment, ensuring high equipment reliability and performance.
Develop, troubleshoot, debug, and optimize ATE hardware and software configurations.
Lead equipment installation, qualification, conversion, and release to production.
Analyze equipment performance, identify root causes of failures, and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with Product, Test, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering teams to support production requirements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield enhancement, throughput improvement, and cost reduction.
Establish and maintain preventive maintenance procedures and equipment documentation.
Support new product introductions (NPI) and test platform transfers.
Monitor equipment KPIs and drive actions to achieve equipment utilization and quality targets.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to technicians and junior engineers.
Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and operational standards.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Automated Test Equipment (ATE) engineering within semiconductor manufacturing.
Strong troubleshooting skills in test equipment hardware and software.
Experience with equipment qualification, maintenance, and production support.
Knowledge of statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective action methodologies.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Advantage:
Hands-on experience with semiconductor test handlers (e.g., Cohu, Multitest, TESEC, SEIKO EPSON, or similar).
Experience with ATE platforms such as Teradyne J750, Eagle, ETS, Advantest V93K, T2000, or similar systems.
Understanding of semiconductor final test processes and manufacturing operations.
Project management and continuous improvement experience.
