Painter

The Painter is responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appearance and condition of hotel facilities through painting, repainting, finishing, and touch-up works on hotel interiors, exteriors, furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces. The role supports the Engineering Department in ensuring that the property's appearance consistently meets hotel standards while maintaining safe and efficient work practices.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Operations

• Conduct regular inspections of hotel interior and exterior areas to identify painting and maintenance requirements.

• Attend to guest requests, maintenance concerns, complaints, and departmental work requests related to painting works.

• Assist the Engineering team in providing paint solutions for operational concerns and property improvement projects.

• Mix paints to achieve the required colors, textures, and finishes.

• Learn, understand, and comply with all hotel policies, procedures, and operational standards.

• Prepare and submit shift reports and work accomplishment reports.

Repairs and Maintenance

• Perform painting and repainting works

• Conduct surface preparation activities

• Prepare material estimates and recommend paint specifications and requirements.

• Prepare repair and maintenance reports.

• Observe proper engineering and maintenance practices at all times.

• Ensure work quality meets hotel appearance and maintenance standards.

• Maintain painting tools, equipment, and materials in good working condition.

Safety

• Ensure Fire and Life Safety policies and procedures are observed at all times.

• Attend Fire and Life Safety training programs, orientations, and re-orientations conducted by the hotel.

• Use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during painting and maintenance activities.

• Follow safe work practices when handling paints, chemicals, solvents, ladders, and equipment.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment to prevent accidents and hazards.

Qualifications:

• High School Graduate, Senior High School Graduate, Vocational Graduate, or equivalent.

• Technical or vocational training in Painting, Building Maintenance, Construction, or a related field is an advantage.

• At least 1-2 years of experience in painting, building maintenance, construction, or a related trade.

• Experience in a hotel, resort, commercial building, or property maintenance environment is an advantage.
