Job Description - Payroll Officer

Role Overview:


We are looking for Payroll Officer to support an Australian client in the engineering industry. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple regions, maintaining compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting end-to-end payroll activities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Process end-to-end payroll ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local regulations

  • Maintain and validate employee payroll data including timesheets, leave records, and personal details

  • Compute and process payroll deductions such as taxes, government contributions, and superannuation

  • Support payroll data entry and coordinate with senior payroll staff to ensure data accuracy

  • Prepare and submit statutory reports, payments, and compliance documentation

  • Assist in month-end and year-end payroll activities, including reconciliations and reporting

  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure minimal disruption to operations

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll data and ensure high attention to detail

  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and internal teams to ensure smooth payroll processes

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within payroll operations



What We’re Looking For:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • At least 1–2 years of Australian payroll experience, with exposure to end-to-end payroll processing.

  • Experience maintaining and validating payroll data, including timesheets, leave records, employee details, deductions, taxes, government contributions, and superannuation.

  • Ability to support payroll data entry, reconciliations, statutory reporting, month-end/year-end activities, and compliance documentation.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office, with experience using payroll systems, SharePoint, PDF tools, or similar platforms.

  • High level of accuracy, confidentiality, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills when handling payroll discrepancies and sensitive employee data.

  • Strong communication and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

  • Willing to work in the office full-time at Arcovia City, Brgy. Ugong, Pasig City. (Monday-Friday, 07:00 AM - 04:00 PM)
