Job Description - Procurement Service Center Analyst

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute simple to moderate transactional buying activities for assigned countries, regions, or business areas.
  • Manage the purchase order lifecycle from requisition to completion.
  • Maintain pricing and purchasing data accurately within applicable systems.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure on‑time delivery and resolve PO‑related issues.
  • Perform purchasing reporting activities as required.
  • Meet daily productivity targets established by the Procurement Service Center Supervisor for assigned product categories or plants.
  • Resolve simple to moderate exceptions, including match exceptions and GR/IR issues, and respond to supplier and stakeholder inquiries.
  • Follow clearly defined procedures and sourcing guidelines in accordance with Sourcing Policy.
  • Ensure adherence to internal Procurement business rules and SOX controls.
  • Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives, including LSS projects.
  • Support Procurement Service Center initiated events and 3M‑wide activities.
  • Work flexible hours as needed to support global procurement requirements.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or any related field.
  • Typically 1–2 years of experience in sourcing or transactional procurement activities.
  • Excellent communication skills; fluency in English required (additional languages may be required based on assignment).
  • Strong customer service orientation with focus on quality.
  • Proficient research, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
