Job Description - QA Lead

Minimum Experience (Years):

  • 4-5 years of experience in software testing, with a mix of manual and automated testing experience.
  • 1-2 year of experience in a lead or mentoring role within a QA team.

Technical Skills:

  • Test Automation: Proficient in test automation, with experience in tools like Selenium, Appium, or similar, and ability to build and maintain automation frameworks.
  • API and Performance Testing: Skilled in API testing (e.g., using Postman or REST Assured) and experience with performance testing tools is a plus.
  • Data Testing: Strong experience in data testing, including validating data integrity, accuracy, completeness, and consistency across databases, APIs, and downstream systems.
  • CI/CD and DevOps: Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git) to support continuous integration and testing.
  • Agile Testing: Deep knowledge of agile methodologies, with experience in agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and backlog refinement. Defect Management and Reporting: Advanced skills in defect management, using tools such as JIRA, and expertise in reporting test metrics and KPIs.

Soft Skills:

  • Leadership and Mentorship: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire junior team members.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues and identify root causes effectively.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Adaptability and Initiative: Ability to adapt to changes and proactively suggest improvements in testing processes.
