Accounting Assistant / Bookkeeping Support (QuickBooks Online)

WE'RE HIRING: ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT / BOOKKEEPING SUPPORT (QBO)

Compensation: $1300 - $1400

Schedule: Full Time, US Business Hours preferred (CT)

About the Company

We are a multi-unit restaurant company operating 19 quick-service restaurant locations across 7 business entities, including 15 Burger King and 4 Popeyes restaurants. With a high volume of daily transactions and multi-entity operations, our accounting team plays a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the financial performance of our restaurants.

Role Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Remote Accounting Assistant / Bookkeeping Support Specialist to assist with accounting, reporting, reconciliations, and audit preparation across its restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities

-Enter and categorize transactions in QuickBooks Online

-Assist with accounts payable data entry and invoice tracking

-Support bank reconciliations across multiple entities

-Help reconcile delivery platform transactions, including Uber Eats and other third-party delivery reports

-Cross-check refunds, deposits, charges, and delivery payments against reports

-Build and maintain spreadsheets for tracking accounting data

-Use pivot tables and formulas to organize and analyze financial information

-Spot errors, missing entries, duplicate transactions, or unusual variances in reports

-Prepare schedules and supporting documents for audits

-Help organize accounting records across 7 entities and 19 restaurant locations

-Communicate findings clearly to the U.S. team

-Maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and consistency in all assigned work

Required Qualifications

-At least 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance support experience

-Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online

-Experience with bank reconciliations

-Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables

-Comfortable working with multiple entities, locations, or departments

-Strong attention to detail and ability to catch discrepancies

-Good written and verbal English communication skills

-Reliable internet connection and work-from-home setup

-Willing to work Central Time hours

Nice-to-Have

-Experience supporting restaurant, QSR, franchise, retail, or multi-location businesses

-Experience reconciling delivery platforms such as Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub, or similar

-Experience with audit preparation

-Experience with AP, refunds, deposits, and daily sales reporting

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with repetitive accounting tasks while still being able to think critically. This person should not only enter data but also notice when something looks wrong, missing, or inconsistent.
