Credit Analyst (Australian Mortgage Brokerage)

Our client is an award-winning Australian finance brokerage specializing in tailored commercial, equipment, and residential lending solutions. Led by seasoned ex-banking professionals, the firm connects clients with optimal financial strategies across a panel of over 60 premier bank and non-bank lenders.

 As a Senior Credit Analyst, you will serve as the backbone of the loan processing operation, autonomously running serviceability models, structuring complex deals, and preparing comprehensive application packs. This remote role is pivotal to accelerating deal velocity and maintaining exceptional quality standards across the firm's expanding residential portfolio. 

• Financial Profile & Risk Analysis: Evaluate client income, liabilities, credit profiles, and borrowing capacity to assess overall deal feasibility and flag potential risks early in the process.
• Serviceability Modeling: Perform precise serviceability calculations across multiple major Australian banks and non-bank lenders to identify optimal deal structures and product choices.
• Deal Structuring & Optimization: Match clients—including first home buyers, PAYG, casual, and self-employed applicants—with appropriate lenders, government schemes (e.g., HGS/FHLDS), and LMI waiver options.
• Application Preparation & Lodgement: Build complete, submission-ready loan application packs and execute lodgements seamlessly via ApplyOnline or Simpology.
• Pipeline & CRM Management: Maintain an active pipeline of 10–20 concurrent deals in MyCRM, ensuring meticulous record-keeping, status tracking, and compliance notes (Fact Finds, Needs Analysis, and Credit Justifications).
• Conditional Approval Management: Track lender conditions actively, gather outstanding documentation, and drive applications through to full approval and settlement.
• Stakeholder Communication: Draft professional credit narratives and communicate effectively with lenders, conveyancers, real estate agents, and clients to resolve queries and progress files.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience: 4–5 years of direct experience in Australian mortgage broking support, bank credit assessment, or lending operations.
• Platform Expertise: Proven hands-on experience using MyCRM (mandatory requirement) alongside lodgement platforms such as ApplyOnline or Simpology.
• Regulatory & Framework Knowledge: Strong operational knowledge of APRA lending guidelines, Household Expenditure Measure (HEM) benchmarks, and Responsible Lending Obligations.
• Government Schemes & Incentives: Thorough understanding of First Home Owner Grants, LMI waivers, and Australian Government Home Guarantee Schemes.
• Autonomy & Communication: Excellent written English skills with the demonstrated ability to craft coherent credit notes and work independently in a remote environment.

DESIRED (NOT REQUIRED):

• Broader Lending Exposure: Prior exposure to commercial finance, equipment loans, or self-employed financial statement analysis.
• Advanced CRM & Workflow Tools: Experience managing deal automation workflows or custom dashboards within Australian broking software systems.
• Stakeholder Management: Experience directly coaching or guiding first-time home buyers through the end-to-end loan application journey.
