Job Brief
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Talent Acquisition Specialist to support the ongoing recruitment needs of a growing Australian healthcare organisation. The role is focused on ensuring the business maintains sufficient staffing levels by proactively identifying, attracting, and securing quality talent in line with market demand.
The successful candidate will manage recruitment activities across the full hiring cycle, build strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and external recruiters, and provide strategic insight to continuously improve recruitment processes. The role requires someone who can work towards defined recruitment KPIs while maintaining a strong focus on candidate experience, retention, and hiring manager satisfaction.
Responsibilities
End-to-End Recruitment: Manage recruitment activities from role identification and advertising through to candidate selection, offers, contracts, and placement.
Talent Sourcing: Proactively identify and engage suitable candidates in line with current and anticipated workforce requirements.
Job Advertising: Manage and publish vacancies across platforms such as SEEK and Indeed, ensuring new roles are advertised within required timeframes.
Candidate Experience: Maintain clear and timely communication throughout the recruitment process and ensure candidates receive a professional and positive experience.
Hiring Manager Liaison: Work closely with hiring managers and internal teams to understand workforce requirements, provide recruitment updates, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
Recruitment Pipeline Management: Monitor active vacancies, candidate progress, interviews, offers, and closed positions to ensure recruitment targets and deadlines are achieved.
External Recruiter Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with external recruitment agencies while managing costs and ensuring external recruiters provide appropriate value.
Offer & Contract Management: Coordinate offers and assist with the development and execution of employment contracts.
Replacement Recruitment: Manage replacement requirements promptly to minimise staffing gaps and maintain operational capacity.
Graduate Recruitment: Participate in annual graduate recruitment programs, including candidate attraction and engagement.
Industry Engagement: Participate in industry forums, career expos, and university careers events to strengthen talent pipelines and employer visibility.
Recruitment Reporting: Prepare regular recruitment reports covering candidate touch points, interviews, offers, placements, and other key recruitment metrics.
Social Media Recruitment: Support recruitment-focused social media activity, including regular promotion of open positions.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve recruitment workflows, candidate attraction, retention, and overall recruitment outcomes.
Requirements
Minimum 2–3 years' experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or a similar role.
Experience recruiting within the Australian healthcare or allied health sector is highly regarded.
Demonstrated experience managing multiple vacancies and recruitment processes simultaneously.
Strong understanding of candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers, and recruitment administration.
Experience managing job advertisements across SEEK, Indeed, or similar recruitment platforms.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with hiring managers, candidates, external recruiters, and internal teams.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills aligned with Australian professional standards.
Strong conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities, hard deadlines, and recruitment KPIs.
Strong attention to detail and high level of computer literacy.
Ability to remain composed and effective when managing challenging situations or competing demands.
Strong understanding of recruitment market conditions and industry drivers.

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Management, or a related field.
Relevant recruitment or talent acquisition experience will also be highly regarded.
