Senior Associate - Expense Operations

PURPOSE

The Senior Associates in Expense Operations will be responsible for processing expense reports in the SAP CONCUR or APPZEN system within Bayer, as well as ensuring compliance with company policies and providing support for expense-related inquiries.

YOUR TASK AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Expense Report Processing

• Receive, review, and process employee expense reports (average to complex countries) in the Concur system or in Appzen.


• Verify expenses for compliance with company policies and regulations.


• Ensure accurate coding and allocation of expenses to appropriate cost centers.

Expense Policy Compliance

• Stay up to date with company expense policies and guidelines.


• Provide guidance and support to employees on policy compliance.


• Identify and report any potential policy violations.

Expense Report Reimbursement

• Coordinate and process expense report reimbursements in a timely manner.


• Ensure accurate and timely payments to employees.


• Address any reimbursement discrepancies or issues.

Communication and Support

• Assist employees in understanding Concur expense reporting process.


• Respond to inquiries and provide timely support to resolve issues.


• Collaborate with employees and managers to clarify expense-related matters.

Reporting & Analytics

• Generate reports and analyze expense data for trends and compliance.


• Provide insights and recommendations for expense management improvements.

Audit Preparation

• Assist with the preparation and documentation of expense-related audits.


• Ensure all records and reports are readily available for auditors.

Other Activities

• Prepare and conduct trainings.


• Participate and provide support in new projects of SAP Concur Expense area.


• Drive process improvements.


• Continuous innovation and improvement of current processes.


• Follow up on issues (point of escalation)


• Support Expert to perform and review controls (backup)

WHO YOU ARE

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics or similar


• Able to organize tasks properly and set the right priorities


• Able to work under pressure and high adaptability to changing environments


• Able to deliver results with high quality and contribute to team goals through collaboration and knowledge sharing


• At least 1-year technical expertise in Concur


• Knowledge in Travel Expense Accounting process


• Knowledge in SAP (accounting area)


• Knowledge MS Office Excel and Power point user.


• Excellent English skills (spoken/written) as well as communication and interpersonal skills


• Able to travel occasionally
