Senior Cloud Solutions Technologist

Responsibilities

Hexagon's ALI Division is seeking a Senior Cloud Solutions Technologist to join our team dedicated to building Cloud-scale data services focused on providing Infrastructure data services to Hexagon ALI’s public Cloud offering Smart Cloud. The ideal candidate will be familiar with distributed system architecture and possess a strong foundation in infrastructure management systems and Public Cloud Architecture. In this role, you will be responsible for building and engineering the Cloud infrastructure including maintaining (multi-vendor) virtual servers, Cloud Infrastructure automation and monitoring services, supporting Hexagon ALI’s Public Cloud.

The Senior Cloud Solutions Technologist is responsible for the monitoring, implementation, and day-to-day management of a highly available Cloud infrastructure. Job responsibilities include the following: 

• Public Cloud architecture and engineering responsibilities as well as Level 2/3 operation and support


• Configure infrastructure and applications for high performance and highly available operation to meet business needs

1. Knowledge of Microsoft server infrastructure; Microsoft Windows Server:2012 R2, 2016 ,2019 including, Active Directory/DNS and Group Policy,


2. Experience with Management, Administration & Engineering of a 1000+ server multi-datacenter environment


3. Experience with Server infrastructure, Platform Sizing, and tuning running on Azure Experience with the following infrastructure: Compute, Networking, Storage, Azure Management Tools.


4. Experience with IT Automation/configuration Tools such as Terraform, puppet, and PowerShell.


5. Experience with Identity/Access management solutions and authentication/authorization best practices. 


6. Experience with Infrastructure-Based Processes: Monitoring, Capacity Planning, Facilities Management, Performance Tuning, Asset Management, Disaster Recovery, Data Center support


7. Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills


8. Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources


9. Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail, and proven analytical and problem-solving abilities


10. Able to effectively prioritize tasks when under pressure, with experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Education / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology field, or equivalent experience


• Minimum 5+ years of relevant industry experience in enterprise class IT environment including:
  
  
  
  • Implementation, migration, and support with cloud base infrastructure
  
  
  • Successful implementation and management of Azure and Windows OS
  
  
  
  


• Azure certifications desirable
