Senior Production Planner

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Primarily responsible for planning and preparation of production schedules.
• Monitor that products are made efficiently and timely to meet shipment requirements and production forecast.
• Balance production capacity with material availability and other constraints.
• Manage raw material availability, anticipate and adjust schedules for any disruptions.
• Maximize production output and minimize work-in-process inventory.
• Report production status, issues, and progress to management.
• Prepares and provides manufacturing information, data & reports to enable operations, management & other functions within the business to administer & manage the business effectively. 
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or its equivalent in experience.
• 2-5 years of experience in production planning.
• Have capability to interface across department and any levels of the organization. 
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.

Skills

• Analytical skills for interpreting forecasts, inventory data, and capacity constraints.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and enjoy the process of problem-solving
  Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp.
