Job Description - Staff Test Engineer

Description

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, or Physics (advanced degree is an advantage).

Experience:
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience in power semiconductor test and/or product engineering.
- Background in high-power semiconductors and analog driver ICs test development is preferred.
- Familiarity with Teradyne ETS88/800/364, AccoTest STS8200, PowerTech Qt4100 test platforms or equivalent multi-site systems is a big advantage.
- Wafer sort testing experience is an added advantage
- Experience with Labview programming is an added advantage

Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Visual C++ programming and/or Python andLabView.
- Strong background in test development for power semiconductors and IC Gate drivers.
- Strong bench-testing skills using power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators, and curve tracers for debugging.
- Experience in dynamic testing of power semiconductors is an advantage.

Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving ability and capacity to work independently.
- Strong communication skills in English (oral and written).
- Effective team player with proven ability to collaborate across multi-functional groups and global locations.

Additional Competencies:
- Solid technical project management skills with a results-driven mindset.
- Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Product Engineering and Manufacturing Test Engineering teams to support new product development and ensure smooth ramp-up to mass production.

Design, develop, and implement test software and hardware for SiC and GaN products, both for FT and wafer sort development.

Establish comprehensive test coverage to eliminate test escapes and guarantee product quality.

Perform product characterization, analyze data, and deliver clear, actionable reports.

Drive innovation by exploring and implementing new test methodologies, hardware, and software solutions for SiC/GaN devices.
