As a Substation Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, testing, and installing substation equipment and associated devices. Your role involves conducting functionality testing and commissioning of protection and controls, power circuit breaker controls, and wiring of instrumentation. By executing preparatory and actual preventive maintenance and corrective works, you will ensure a timely completion of work order tasks in accordance with company standards and safety policies to deliver continuous and reliable power supply to customers and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world.

You will work closely with the Substation and Electrical Equipment Team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  Substation Maintenance Management: Execute and close out assigned work orders for the maintenance, installation, and repair of electrical infrastructure within established timelines.

  
  


• 
  

  Network Protection Implementation Management: Conduct functionality testing and commissioning of protection and controls and power circuit breaker controls.

  
  


• 
  

  Equipment Testing and Diagnostic Management: Diagnose system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs to ensure the continuous and reliable distribution of power.

  
  


• 
  

  Outsourced Service Management: Collaborating with external partners to ensure all work meets company standards and safety protocols.

  
  


• 
  

  Tools and Equipment Management: Conduct routine inspections and servicing of equipment to identify potential points of failure before they impact customer service.

  Possesses the hands-on skills required to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems and infrastructure efficiently.

  Ensures all work orders and technical reports are completed with high accuracy and in full compliance with company standards.
  
  

  
  

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

• 
  

  A Graduate of any related associate degrees or technical vocational courses.

  
  


• 
  

  With EIM Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC2.

  
  


• 
  

  With at least 2 years of experience in substation maintenance and diagnostic testing is an advantage.

  
  


• 
  

  With Professional Driver's License (code 1 and 2).
  
  

  
  

Technical / Functional Skills:

• 
  

  Knowledgeable in computer office applications.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to learn and master pole climbing using gaffs and belts, as well as operating from aerial buckets.

  
  


• 
  

  Proficiency in basic knots and rigging techniques used to hoist materials and secure equipment safely.
