We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supplier Costing Analyst to support the Category Management team in executing UCT costing strategies. This role is critical in enabling scalable and cost-effective material management by supporting annual cost negotiations, NPI costing, and all supplier costing updates across products and customers.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, supplier communication, engagement and negotiation experience, and a collaborative mindset to help drive costing strategies to ensure UCT maintains a competitive advantage and provides the foundation for continued UCT growth and customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Prepare RFQ packages to support supplier costing efforts


• Submit RFQ to strategic suppliers for supplier costing where applicable and non strategic sources where necessary


• Retrieve supplier cost feedback in a timely manner, make comparisons of supplier costs across all sources to determine:

  • most competitive pricing
  
  
  • lead times are within UCT requirements (if applicable)
  
  
  • whether further negotiations are required and follow up with identified sources
  
  
  • liability associated with component MOQ, NRE, etc. and make notes of each instance
  
  
  • if non strategic sources are needed due to no capabilities at strategic sources
  
  
  • all other exceptions beyond costing from strategic sources
  
  
  
  

• Prepare final supplier cost package noting recommended suppliers, identifying non strategic supplier exceptions and reasons chosen, all liability associated with supplier costing information and any additional information needed for a final management review


• Support annual supplier price negotiations in collaboration with Category Managers


• Structure and maintain periodic pricing updates by product and customer


• Provide timely and accurate supplier costing for NPI “Must Win” programs


• Contribute to the costing roadmap by ensuring accurate and responsive costing processes.


• Ensure PIR (Purchase Info Record) accuracy to minimize uPPV and maintain reliable standard cost impact


• Deliver annual price lists aligned with procurement cycles


• Track and report supplier costing performance metrics including cost competitiveness, HD ticket volume, lead time, and first-pass yield (FPY)


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen supplier relationships and costing efficiency

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong understanding of supplier costing processes and cost structures


• Ability to negotiate with suppliers to fine tune costs to meet expectations


• Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems (SAP preferred), and costing/quoting tools


• Excellent communication and coordination skills


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines


• Familiarity with semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environments is a plus

Educational/Certification Requirement: 

• 
  

  Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field

  
  

Experience Requirement:

• 
  

  3+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or costing/quoting roles

  
  


• 
  

  Experience supporting NPI and cost reduction initiatives preferred
