Job Description - Systems Architect

Description

The Systems Integration Officer primary responsible for developing and maintaining system integration and components, including application to application integration. The secondary responsibility is design and development, and /or maintenance, of software solutions. The Systems Integration Officer is responsible for writing, coding and testing the assigned applications for development. Conducts investigation, implements and documents resolution to production application application issues assigned by Systems Architect and/or Department Manager

Skills/Competencies and Personal Attributes:

  • Good written and oral communication and listening skills, computer literate, detail-oriented and meticulous, accounting related, technical skills and knowledge
  • Knowledge in UNIX and windows operating systems. Aside from those mentioned in the experienced, preferably skilled in using modeling tools such as Unified Modeling Language (use case class diagram, sequence diagram), Data Flow Diagram, Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD); good oral and written communication and listening skills. Knowledge in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle. Familiarity with agile methodology will be an advantage, particularly SCRUM and ITIL. Ability to prepare project planning and project status reports.
  • Pleasing personality, very patient, neat and well groomed, above average work ethics and level of maturity, a team player, dependable, self-motivated and multi-task oriented


Requirements
  • Participates/gives inputs in the development of the department/section/unit’s annual Operational Plans and initiates/presents proposals, activities and programs to the Immediate Superior to ensure the department/section/unit goals and objectives are achieved.
  • Contributes to the formulation of specific guidelines, program and activities directly related to the assigned section/unit.
  • Researches on new trends or practices with regards to the specialization of the area or scope of the unit/section assigned.
  • Effectively coordinates and communicates with all units and other key people of the organization for the overall plans, implementing programs/activities and scheduling of activities of the Section/Department.
  • Provides support to teams by participating in administrative duties, team meetings, problem solving and decision-making.
  • Gives feedback/updates on the assigned projects and activities to the Immediate Superior.
  • Advocates and encourages other team members to perform well and to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Ensures approved indicators or KRA/KPIs and required outputs and targets on the specialized/specific area of responsibility are implemented and performed. Creates initiatives and proposals on the assigned area of specialization or as directed and presents to the Immediate Superior for approval.
  • Coordinates and provides support to the group/department/section/unit’s activities and other hospital-related activities.
  • Provides technical and administrative assistance to other associates/group as directed by the Immediate Superior.
  • Acts as resource person/consultant on the area of specialization or assignments and assists staff (if necessary). Ensures efficient utilization of all resources in the implementation of assignments.
  • Implements specifies scope of works and gives regular feedback to the Immediate Superior on its performance and output vis-à-vis the set target and standards. Reviews, assesses and evaluates effectiveness of the specific area’s systems, procedures, outputs and every activity implemented by gathering feedback and comments and other assessment methods; and recommends changes or improvements whenever necessary.
  • Contributes in the formulating, updating and implementing policies and procedures aligning to exiting standards, organization’s regulations or section/unit’s programs. Ensures that established company guidelines and policies are followed in all tasks and activities and provides assistance in the implementation of specific policies and programs.
  • Documents requisition for cash advances and liquidations of expenses vis-à-vis planned budget as directed by the Immediate Superior.
  • Consults with and keeps the immediate superior informed of activities, needs and concerns of the area assigned.
  • Collaborates with Systems Architect; documents program requirements and specifications; writes and test programs according to specification. Uses Java for coding application features and uses Mule when coding to the ESB to connect multiple data flows in a single mule configuration. He may also use HL7 to enable clinical applications to exchange data.
