Position Overview

Bureau Veritas is seeking a Technical Expert – Process in Mining and Quarrying to join our growing team. In this role, you will leverage deep industry expertise to support audit, certification, and compliance activities across mining and quarrying operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct technical assessments and audits of mining and quarrying operations


• Evaluate compliance with relevant ISO standards and regulatory requirements


• Provide expert guidance on process optimization and best practices


• Support clients in implementing and maintaining management systems


• Develop technical documentation and audit protocols


• Mentor junior auditors and technical staff


• Contribute to Bureau Veritas's technical knowledge base and training materials

Required Qualifications

Essential Experience:

• Extensive working experience in mining and quarrying operations, specifically with:
  
  
  
  • Ornamental stone extraction
  
  
  • Limestone quarrying
  
  
  • Gypsum mining
  
  
  • Slate extraction
  
  
  • Other stone mining/quarrying processes
  
  
  
  


• In-depth, hands-on knowledge of core processes across the above sectors


• Demonstrated ability to identify operational and compliance gaps

Standards & Compliance Knowledge:

• Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems)


• Working knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems)


• Working knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems)


• Familiarity with mining and quarrying regulatory frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

• Audit or certification experience (internal or third-party)


• Knowledge of additional relevant standards (e.g., ISO 19001, sector-specific standards)


• Experience with mining safety protocols and risk management


• Technical writing or documentation skills


• Training or mentoring experience
