ROLE SUMMARY
The Treasury Reconciliations Officer is responsible for performing bank reconciliations and banking related transactions and for providing operational support to the Treasury Team as well as being a contributor to the global finance team and helping to improve these functions to support the international growth of the organization.
The role is responsible for contributing to the integrity of the treasury information through verifying, reconciling and coordinating transactions. They will assist to deliver timely and accurate reporting on account balances, globally across all jurisdictions, in conjunction with the guidance and support of the Treasury Team.
CORE RESPONSIBILITES
Sales Audit
Manual processing of sales transactions, where necessary
Prepare auditor reports for review
Treasury
Perform daily, weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
Reconcile payments received against outstanding balances and investigate and clear any discrepancies or issues
Reconcile and maintain electronic clearing accounts in a timely and efficient manner
Reconcile and maintain Virtual Terminal Payments
Follow up on overdue payments and work with store staff to resolve outstanding balances
Ensure compliance with KING policies and procedures, maintaining a high standard of control at all times
Maintain Treasury Inbox
Investigation and management of exception transactions within agreed clearing times
Identifying and escalating areas of risk or problems as deemed appropriate
Other Ad hoc duties as and when directed
Teamwork
Positive stakeholder relationships are developed and maintained
Escalate where appropriate for timely resolution of issues preventing efficient completion of duties
Support the Treasury Team and all key stakeholders
Work independently with general guidelines
Works collaboratively with key King Living team members to effectively communicate work in progress and actions
CAPABILITIES
Three years Accounting experience, with one year experience in a similar role,
Retail or FMCG experience preferred
Intermediate Excel skills as well as a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
Sound understanding of general ledger, banking, Treasury and month end processes
Sound knowledge of internal control mechanisms and processes
Accounting qualification (Diploma or higher) preferred
Technically savvy, with an ability to navigate banking/merchant platforms
Experienced with large ERP systems with an interest in working with large amounts of data
Eager to contribute to the process of continuous improvement
