Compensation Data

$26.43/hr - $30.84/hr, depending on skills and qualifications.

This is a TEMPORARY opportunity starting June 2026 through August 31st, 2026.

Short Description

We are currently looking to add a dynamic vegetation control technician to our passionate team of utility vegetation management professionals. Your office is outdoors, and you get a new view every day!  

Job Duties

What You’ll Do:  

• Maintain standard levels of vegetation in the area surrounding utility poles by: 


• Applying herbicides to control weeds and grasses 


• Using equipment to maintain appropriate levels of vegetation 


• Following contracts for work requirements and job specifications 


• Collect data to monitor and manage levels of invasive species of vegetation 


• Properly maintain, calibrate, and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.

Qualifications

What We’re Seeking: 

• Love of the outdoors 


• Ability to complete Electrical Hazard Awareness Program and OSHA training 


• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire 


• Required: valid driver’s license   


• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement   


• Preferred: vegetation control experience or other related work 


• Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law  


• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®
