We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with the Founding Principal / Senior Structural Engineer to support the design, modeling, and analysis of structural systems across a diverse project portfolio.
You will contribute directly to engineering calculations, assist with structural design concepts, and help translate complex structural requirements into coordinated drawings and models. Projects range from rapid, fast-turnaround tasks to multi-month engagements, with a primary focus on industrial structures, equipment supports, and utility support systems. This seat is ideal for an early-career engineer eager to build professional judgment, master US structural codes, and grow within a collaborative remote environment.
1. Structural Analysis & Engineering Calculations
System Design: Support structural design and analysis for new structures, as well as modifications and repairs to existing facilities.
Calculations & Modeling: Perform foundational engineering calculations and assist with 3D structural modeling across assigned projects.
Code & Quality Adherence: Ensure all engineering deliverables meet established project schedules, budget parameters, and quality control expectations.
2. Drafting, Modeling & Concept Translation
Technical Drafting: Translate structural requirements into clean, coordinated drawings, 3D models, and submittal packages.
Senior Collaboration: Partner directly with the Founding Principal / Senior Structural Engineer to develop practical project concepts, solutions, and layout modifications.
Document Markups: Utilize digital review and drafting tools to execute design iterations and technical redlines accurately.
3. Project Execution & Ownership
Multi-Project Management: Contribute simultaneously to short-term engineering tasks and multi-month industrial projects, prioritizing deadlines effectively.
Progressive Responsibility: Actively participate in a collaborative team environment while taking on increasing technical responsibility over time.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization or emphasis in Structural Engineering.
Professional Experience: 0–2 years of professional structural engineering experience (entry-level candidates with strong academic foundation encouraged).
Technical Software Suite: Direct experience or familiarity with structural engineering and drafting tools, including:
RISA-3D
Navisworks
Bluebeam
AutoCAD
US Code Literacy: Working knowledge or familiarity with US structural engineering codes and standards is desirable, including AISC, ASCE, ACI, and IBC.
Core Competencies: Strong organizational, analytical, and written/verbal English communication skills. High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple project priorities independently.
Familiarity or working knowledge with Revit.
Calculation & Model Accuracy: Delivering precise, error-free engineering calculations and structural drawings on time.
Project Velocity: Consistently meeting milestone deadlines across both short-term tasks and multi-month project scopes.
Technical Development: Rapidly building technical proficiency across US building codes, software platforms, and structural design standards.
