As a Capital Analytics & Solutions Associate within the Basel Measurement & Analytics (BM&A) team, you will work at the intersection of regulatory capital, quantitative analysis, technology, and business partnership. You will be a part of a global Treasury and Chief Investment Office (CIO) of Corporate Finance team which is responsible for regulatory capital measurement processes, ensuring insightful analysis, effective capital management, and compliance. The team coordinates with Finance, Risk, and Regulatory Policy, covering policy interpretation, implementation oversight, regulatory engagement, Risk Weighted Assets (RWA) reporting, and capital stress testing. BM&A also drives investments in people and technology to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of regulatory capital measures (RWA, Capital, TLAC, SLR, and Tier 1 leverage calculations), and leads the implementation of new regulatory requirements.

Job responsibilities

• Support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of capital analytics models
• Work with large and complex datasets to investigate opportunities to highlight business insights
• Build prototypes and analytical workflows that improve the accuracy, transparency, and timeliness of capital reporting.
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into clear data definitions, calculations, controls, and user experiences.
• Use AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot, to accelerate coding, prototyping, documentation, and analysis while maintaining quality and control standards.
• Partner with Product Controllers, Risk, various Capital teams, Technology, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate results.

• Contribute to documentation, testing, reconciliation, process improvement, and team best practices.

   

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Minimum 4+ years of full-time experience in finance, risk, data analysis, technology, or a related analytical role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Bachelor’s degree required in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related analytical discipline.
• Working knowledge of SQL and experience manipulating or analysing structured data.
• Familiarity with Python, Excel, data visualization, or dashboard development.
• Comfortable working with calculations, business rules, data definitions, and reconciliations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical analysis to non-technical stakeholders.

• Practical experience or strong familiarity with AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot.

   

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Exposure to regulatory capital, RWA, Basel, capital markets, stress testing, or financial risk, as well as financial product knowledge (e.g, derivatives, SFTs etc)
• Experience building dashboards, analytical prototypes, or interactive data tools.
• Experience partnering across Finance, Risk, Technology, and business teams.
• Interest in improving analytical workflows through automation and AI-assisted development.
