Our client is recruiting a Cloud Platform Engineer to join their Warsaw-based team. You'll take a central role in designing and implementing cloud solutions that power digital transformation initiatives. Position Overview
As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you'll design and implement cloud-native platforms that support enterprise-scale operations. You'll build event-driven architectures, develop scalable data solutions, and manage containerised workloads across production environments. Your work will directly contribute to system reliability, security, and performance optimisation. You'll collaborate with development, architecture, and DevOps teams to align platform capabilities with business requirements, ensuring governance and compliance standards are met across cloud environments.
Responsibilities
• Design and implement cloud-native platforms on Microsoft Azure, leveraging microservices and event-driven architecture patterns
• Build event-driven integrations using Azure Event Grid and related services for real-time data processing
• Develop scalable data solutions using Azure Cosmos DB for globally distributed, high-performance applications
• Deploy and manage containerised workloads using Azure Container Apps and Docker
• Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for automated deployment
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform
• Monitor system performance using Azure Monitor and Application Insights, optimising cost and resilience
• Enforce governance, compliance, and security best practices across cloud environments
• Collaborate with teams to align platform capabilities with business and technical requirements
• Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability in production systems
Requirements
Essential skills and experience:
• 6-8 years of professional development or platform engineering experience
• Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (mandatory)
• Proven expertise in Azure Event Grid, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Container Apps
• Demonstrated experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code using ARM, Bicep, or Terraform
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and cloud-native design patterns
• Experience with containerisation using Docker
• Knowledge of API management and integration patterns
• Understanding of high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability principles
• Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices and governance
Desirable skills and experience:
• Experience with Kubernetes (AKS) or advanced container orchestration
• Exposure to event streaming patterns using Service Bus or Event Hubs
• Knowledge of data engineering or distributed systems
• Experience leading enterprise-scale cloud migrations and modernisation projects
